Police in Colorado Springs say they have recovered a stolen motorcycle after a suspect was allegedly caught on surveillance video taking it.
According to the department, the Motor Vehicle Theft Unit was alerted to the theft of a blue 2019 Kawasaki ER650 around 6 pm. Investigators say the suspect was later seen riding the stolen motorcycle in a nearby residential neighborhood.
When officers attempted to contact the rider, a short foot chase reportedly followed before the suspect was detained. Authorities noted the individual has two prior motor vehicle theft convictions.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Criminal Justice Center. Remember, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
